Important! Changes to Regulation № Iз-1971 – New fire safety requirements for restaurants and fast-food establishments are now in effect.
Dear managers and owners of facilities with adjoining kitchens, the latest amendments to Regulation № Iз-1971, effective from 29.12.2024, mandate:
All professional kitchens must be equipped with:
- Fire blanket, certified according to EN 1869, with approval from GDPBZN (General Directorate of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population)
- Class F fire extinguisher – 9L, designed for fighting burning cooking oils and fats
The following requirements also remain in effect:
- CO2 fire extinguisher – 5kg (for electric kitchens)
- ABC powder fire extinguisher (for solid fuel kitchens)
- BC powder fire extinguisher (for gas and liquid fuel kitchens)
